Nov 1 — L’Arche Benefit

by Parker on October 28th, 2012

THE INTOUCHABLES & Dave Gunning – The Film Series annual fall benefit for l’Arche Cape Breton features one of the year’s most talked about movies, and one of Nova Scotia’s best loved singer-songwriters.

We’ll begin at 7 pm at the Empire Theatre with THE INTOUCHABLES:  When a paragliding accident severely injures a French aristocrat, he hires a street tough from the projects as his personal care worker — to the horror of his friends and family.

After the movie, around 9:30 p.m., we’ll move to the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion for Cape Breton’s best Lebanese buffet and the music of award-winning singer-songwriter, Dave Gunning, fresh from his battles with the Canadian Mint over his new album, “For the Pennies.”

Come meet the members of Cape Breton’s l’Arche Community, and spend a fantastic evening in support of a beautiful group of men and women.

Movie: $12. Buffet and Party: $25. Combo: $30. (Season pass-holders will not be charged for the movie.)
