Nov 13 — Gordie’s Coming Home + SENNA

by Parker on November 12th, 2011

Gordie Sampson is en route home from Nashville to play the Film Series annual benefit for l’Arche Cape Breton. He’ll be at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion (aka The Big Fiddle) on Sydney’s waterfront at 9 p.m., Sunday, November 13, for the Party of the Year. We’ll have a cash bar, a fabulous buffet of Cape Breton’s best Lebanese food, door prizes, and the draw for the winner of a $550 Road Bike from Framework Cycle and Fitness.

The evening gets underway at 7 at the Empire Theatre, 325 Prince Street, with a screening of SENNA, a heart-stopping documentary about the man many consider the greatest, savviest Formula One champion of all time.

The whole l’Arche community will be there, and if you haven’t attended one of these parties in previous years, you’re in for a treat when you meet the delightful l’Arche core members and assistants.

Tickets are on sale now at the Cape Breton Curiosity Shop, 296 Charlotte Street, Sydney. Movie: $12. Party & Dinner: $30. Movie/Party/Dinner Combo: $35. And thanks to the wonderful sponsors listed below, every dollar we collect on Sunday goes l’Arche Cape Breton.

Sponsors include: Schwartz and Company, Seaside Communications, AMEC, VMP Group, City Printers, AECOM, Conestoga-Rovers, Framework Cycle and Fitness, Ramsay’s Honda, Empire Theatres, CBCL, Sampson McDougall, and Unsworth Kachafanis.
