Nov 3 — CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS

by Parker on October 30th, 2011

They are the oldest works of art known to have been created by humankind, and one of the great independent filmmakers of our time was given exclusive access to film them.

CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS  follows director Werner Herzog (THE BAD LIEUTENANT, GRIZZLY MAN) on his exclusive expedition into the nearly inaccessible Chauvet Cave in France, where he filmed these luminous 30,000-year-old imaages in 3D. The result is an unforgettable cinematic experience and a unique glimpse of the pristine prehistoric artwork — almost twice as old as any previous discovery.

Hauntingly filmed and brimming with Herzog’s infectious enthusiasm, Cave of Forgotten Dreams is a fascinating triumph. It is also the first movie we have ever shown in 3D. Please come early to ensure a good seat.
