Our Fall season begins with an Oscar-winning, Argentinian mystery story. In The Secret in Their Eyes, a retired prosecutor begins writing a novel in hopes of solving a long ago homicide and resolving the unrequited love he retains for his boss. Both still haunt him decades later. (129 min.) Winner: Best Foreign Film Oscar.

Movies screen at 7 p.m. sharp, Thursdays, at the Empire Theatres Studio 10, 325 Prince Street, Sydney. Tickets  cost $9 each, $6 for students, $80 for a transferrable season pass to all 13 films. There is no extra charge for seniors.
