Oct 22 Lemon Tree
Salma, a 45-year-old Palestinian widow who tends her late father’s lemon grove, squares off against the Israeli defense minister, who has built a house next door. State security officials insist the grove threatens his safety and must come down, but Salma decides to fight for her trees.
Her legal journey takes her to the Israeli Supreme Court, and forges complex bonds with her young Palestinian lawyer and the defense minister’s unexpectedly sympathetic wife.
